Updated to Bubble v8.6: Several improvements related to presentation of empty feeds. Instead of a placeholder text, you now get a set of helpful tips to get started with Bubble. These are only shown in Bubble feeds when logged in so they won't show up in, say, search engine results. An empty feed page will now hide all the actions that are irrelevant when there are no entries to view, sort or search. Empty Atom feeds are no longer corrupted by placeholder text. Added a 💎 Gemstone avatar.

Also, Ada GID library is faster than ImageMagick 2.8 times faster with GIF files. 1.4 times faster with PNG files. 1.2 times faster with JPEG Baseline 1.9 times faster with JPEG Progressive.

Golden hour last summer
Bug in Lagrange on HaikuOS. Attempting to resize the window causes it to crash. Haven’t encountered it with any other software in spite of daily HaikuOS use for years. Don’t have a GitHub account to post an issue and not sure whether it’s even something appropriate since I think the Langrange package for HaikuOS comes from a third party.

Wrote a tool to convert graphics to text art in the style of shaded block textart seen on textart.sh. It's pretty simple and scales output to <100 pixels for rectangular pixel art and <50 for square pixel. This works out to a max of 100 columns. You can feed it http or https URLs, but not gemini. Sorry, I'm just using the default file handling. Hope it's useful for some other people. [gemini link]
How much are emoji and non-ASCII used in Geminspace over all? I'm currently trying to allow WebTVs to use Gemini, and one major limitation is that it only supports ASCII and a subset of Windows-1252. I'm can use Twemoji in my proxy to substitute emoji, and Unifont for other things in the basic multilingual plane. How much stuff would that miss? Text presentation emoji-like things might be missed unless in the basic multilingual plane, and Twemoji likes turning text presentation characters...
