In a statement, An Garda Síochána said that 'personal contact has been
made with a private citizen'

An Garda Síochána says it is carrying out enquiries into a video being
circulated on social media showing a man threatening another man with
handsaw.

The video has been widely shared online and alleges that the man with
the handheld circular saw is a landlord trying to evict tenants.

In a statement, An Garda Síochána said that "personal contact has been
made with a private citizen".

The statement continued that "any person who believes they have been
mistreated by any member of An Garda Síochána is entitled to make a
complaint to the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission."
