I *thought* I had a functioning url transforming function in Bash at work and
I was so excited... but I got home and apparently it doesn't work on Bash 5.
Sigh.

So we're opening work up on Monday.  To the public.  I'm thinking I'm probably
going to call out because I don't feel safe.
