I love the mid winter. I like the darkness, the wintery light.
I keep my curtains open all night. From my perch I can see the houses in the distance, the lights in the windows, Christmas decorations on the outside of a house, yay or nay? Could draw attention, get some funny looks. But how about having nothing there, nothing, I like that aesthetic.  
I`ve got this oil filled radiator (electric) and it has been leaking oil. I had a look at some oil-filled rads today.  We shall see. I went for a haircut. The barber had real Christmas lights around the mirror like from the 70s. Glorious. She said she`s had that set since 1981. I said it`s part of our heritage, and a very beautiful glow off them.
