# Manual Quotes

I have found several funny lines in manuals for free software. Here seems as good a place as any to compile them.  I suspect that some of these are just how the authors of Texinfo manuals stay sane.

> CAUTION: This subsubsection has been reported to cause headaches. You might want to skip it upon first reading.
- info gawk, section 9.1.3.1

> Beware that 'm4' may be dangerous for the health of compulsive programmers.
- info m4, section 1.1
In this case, I would suggest reading the whole of section 1.1 for the full experience. This is just the punchline.

> false - do nothing, unsuccessfully
- man false(1)

> Never use this function.
- man gets(3)

> BUGS
>	It's too big and too slow.
- man bash(1)
