# Album #174: Follow The Leader

About half way through this, I was convinced it was a ⭐⭐⭐ album - better than I expected, but definitely not an album everyone must hear. But it keeps going, and going, building up on all the unlikeable parts of itself until it becomes a slog. 

It continues the current run of albums that are influential, and my past few days of wrestling with that makes an album a must listen. The genre and era this album represents and influenced, or is at least contemporary to, is long gone and it's still too soon to see if there's much to go back for. Sure, you can hear how clearly other 'nu-metal' bands drew from this album or Korn in general, but the best that can elicit is a 'huh', a shrug, and a quick check of the clock to see how long there is to go.
