Let's Get It On is such a strong track to start this album out. You've probably heard it before, but if you're anything like me, not enough for that familiarity to take away from what a great song it is. Even if it's been used as a jokey song on a soundtrack to imply some characters are going to get it on, it still works.

The tempo slows down a touch for the next two songs - dialling up the songs and the sentimentality, then dial up the sentimentality just a little bit more, and you're ready to Keep Gettin' It On, a return to the slightly funkier style of the first track, before slowing it down again. It's almost like the ebb and flow of the album is a sort of metaphor for... wait a second...

If I have to choose between hearing Axl Rose "thinkin' bout sex" or Marvin Gaye "wantin' to do something freaky"... there's really no contest. As an album though, the quality is too uneven to make this feel like a must listen. The best songs are fantastic, the rest fall short.
