# Album #185: Run DMC - Raising Hell By Run DMC (1986) => https://1001albumsgenerator.com/albums/7AFsTiojVaB2I58oZ1tMRg/raising-hell Raising Hell on 1001albumsgenerator Hip hop has been one of the highlights so far for me. It's a genre I didn't consciously avoid, but have never delved in to. I'm looking forward to more. On the other side, I hadn't realised how much I disliked some bands I'm more familiar. I knew I didn't care about Guns 'n' Roses, I didn't realise how viscerally dislike them. The same goes for Aerosmith - only Pump (⭐) has come up so far, I expect and dread more. The positive thing about Walk This Way is that you get the best bit about Aerosmith (a great guitar part), and far less of the the worst bits (everything else). I've heard the song way too much to really appreciate it plopping in at track 4, but if I have to have some Aerosmith, I'd rather take it cut with a large amount of Run DMC. But that's the least interesting track on the album - really I just wanted to get my Aerosmith dig in. Overall this was just a touch too 80s for me to want to listen to again. While I didn't love all the track, it was amazing spotting just how many samples and flows that others have taken on to make new songs. It's easy to see how influential the album is, and maybe some day later I'll be able to come back and enjoy it even more. # Rating ⭐⭐⭐ ______ => / 🏡 Home => ./ 📻 More albums => /about.gmi 🙋 About this project
