# Album #196: The Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole By The Chemical Brothers (1997) => https://1001albumsgenerator.com/albums/2DYl4Z5qrQrQvEbMj4Alle/dig-your-own-hole Dig Your Own Hole on 1001albumsgenerator Dig Your Own Hole was released on Freestyle Dust, by a band whose previous record, 'Exit Planet Dust', was also born from the fact that they originally named themselves The Dust Brothers, after... The Dust Brothers, a still active pair of producers in the US. I found this really aggravating. Wikipedia sometimes refers to it as an 'homage' but also mentions 'due to another band having the same name' - no, they took a name and made it a central part of their own identity. It's a minor point, but as the tediously dated electronica thumped past, there wasn't much else to think about. I expected more singles on this album - obviously Block Rocking Beats is pretty well played, but for such a big selling album it really has very few tricks up its sleeve. It is slightly redeemed by the last track, but this is another album that made me glad its not the 90s any more. # Rating ⭐⭐ ______ => / 🏡 Home => ./ 📻 More albums => /about.gmi 🙋 About this project
