I've been a fan of The Twilight Sad forever, and knew they were influenced by The Cure and have toured together. And that The Cure took 65daysofstatic on tour. That should all have pushed me to delve in to The Cure's back catalog, but the few half hearted attempts I made in the past never really took. I know the big singles, which are great. 

This is great though! Coming at it from a Twilight Sad point of view, who have changed their sound through their 5 albums: all of those styles are here on Pornography. That sounds like I'm slamming one of my favourite bands, and I'm not - their own take on this sounds is still really particular, but hearing so directly where it came from has given me an easy way in to this album that has been really enjoyable. Looking forward to giving this a few more listens without the comparisons being my primary reaction.
