# Album #224: Oasis - (What's The Story) Morning Glory By Oasis (1995) => https://1001albumsgenerator.com/albums/0PTVq4kaAAuROnfvfA7bHG/whats-the-story-morning-glory (What's The Story) Morning Glory on 1001albumsgenerator One of the pleasures of growing up is the autonomy you get. It's different for everyone, of course, but big questions like who you spend your time with, where you live and what you do are some of the major things we gain control of. An extra one of those for me has always been 'Where am I least likely to hear anything off (What's the Story) Morning Glory?'. I wish it wasn't on this list, but I grudgingly understand its placement. Nearly every song on here is a hit single that most people who lived in Britain when this came out, and probably many since, can sing a good few lines. And has probably shouted along to one of them at a wedding / sports event / other. They're simple, catchy, and dumb as rocks, but they've become classics through simple repetition. Originally I wasn't going to listen to this album, because I could sing every song on the album and knew I didn't like them. In the end I did, each song opening nearly being the one that made me give up. This is a different kind of visceral hatred to Guns 'n' Roses. It's the feeling you get when a film you've been looking forward to is terrible. Disappointment. Anger. Betrayal. Despair. Boredom. Determination. Resignation. It's awful. It's a classic. # Rating ⭐ Honesty edit: I bailed half way through and put on Blood Incantation's Hidden History of the Human Race instead. It's too recent to be on the list, otherwise I'd like to imagine it would be. It wouldn't. Will there be any death metal? Money is on no. This would be a five star review though. Give me "Quantum desolation opens the Gate of Mind" over "My dog's been itching in the kitchen once again" every day. => https://darkdescentrecords.bandcamp.com/album/hidden-history-of-the-human-race ______ => / 🏡 Home => ./ 📻 More albums => /about.gmi 🙋 About this project
