=>/danrl 👽 danrl yesterday the wife’s choir people came up to our mountain property and helped us dig a trench and lay some water pipe for the future house. they are exceptionally helpful people and we made good progress. a while ago i did my first off-grid welding: https://youtu.be/Kd34i0bhYfs and this week’s video is about assembling a cargo carrier for the car. we need to get fuel for the generator and i refuse to transport these gasoline bombs inside the car. the cargo carrier solves that issue. https://youtu.be/YSLDTfFKcJA there are more videos on the channel. one new every friday. didn’t had the time to post them here as usual. 8 months ago · 👍 ruby_witch, prk, murdock ### Links =>https://youtu.be/Kd34i0bhYfs [1] https://youtu.be/Kd34i0bhYfs =>https://youtu.be/YSLDTfFKcJA [2] https://youtu.be/YSLDTfFKcJA ### Actions =>/join 👋 Join Station ### 2 Replies =>/danrl 👽 danrl these are pressure treated posts. usually they last a long time in concrete in our area and climate. especially for such setups that are temporary (we will likely start building a house there in a few years, so the post in the video is a temporary one) · 8 months ago =>/prk 👽 prk Hey, just took a look at "How to set a straight post using Quickrete". Won't concrete "burn" your post? How long would wood last with such setup? Il usually set a metal base in conrete and attach wooden parts above so wood is a bit more protected from water (and can be easily replaced when needed). · 8 months ago
