I bought a Jinhao shark fountain pen for $0.87 in November, and promised myself to use only this pen (with 50ml of black ink for $5) until 2023. We're 5 months into 2022, the pen still writes like a champ, and no one in work or uni ever asked me why my pen looks like a shark.
