Yeah, Akira has one of the most impressive worldbuilding and sound design, especially from the period. Mind Game is a personal favourite of mine just because of how far into the subject Yuasa takes his films. Saw his new Inu-Oh a while ago and hey, not my favourite, but the "big scene" was amazing, as usual. · 6 months ago

The first time I watched Akira somewhere in the 80s it blew my mind. I still remember a feeling of dread, horror and also curiosity about such strange phenomenon and tech shown in the anime. Ghost in the shell was also amazing, as much as Mind game and perfect blue. · 6 months ago
