=>/five_over_four ๐Ÿ‘ฝ five_over_four Ugh, my cybersec practice died when my laptop died. Friggin thing, gotta fix it. Something about the CMOS- OS wipes every time the battery goes out, replaced the SSD, too. Also, trying to get your home network to allow all the stuff you're trying to do is *a pain*. Was doing Black Hat Python and man, nothing goes through internally, lol. 6 months ago ### Actions =>/join ๐Ÿ‘‹ Join Station ### 2 Replies =>/five_over_four ๐Ÿ‘ฝ five_over_four @ruby_witch it's just the boot table somehow getting yeeted to oblivion. no idea why. CMOS seems fine. SSD is new. well, i ran the battery out yesterday and it still works, so... but any day now... oh, and there's no devices in BIOS, despite being able to access the drive from any live ISO. ยท 6 months ago =>/ruby_witch ๐Ÿ‘ฝ ruby_witch Your OS wipes off of your SSD when your battery goes out? That...shouldn't happen. Maybe it's your BIOS resetting and forgetting the boot order? ยท 6 months ago
