re: we are obsured

The idea of taking a step backward in any area is not only not attractive for people. I think it might be a built in reality natural mechanism not to allow such things. It's like moving back in time is not possible. The only way is to find a way to the similar place in future. Make it attractive as a goal people can reach, not a golden era sentiment we babble obout. Peole won't listen.

Second thing is (almost) nobody will get back to the long form if all we do as a society is making it shorter and shorter. More flashy and more nonsensical. We need to learn again how to get away from the flashy internet and focus on something for a longer period of time. A book, a blogpost, whatever. But again, show it as a skill, a strenght, not something we lost and should try to get back to just because it's lost.
