brew is too heavy. port takes quite a lot o space too. I've since settled on using pkgsrc on MacOS - all binary downloads, not as many packages as brew/port but I love it so far

switched from mac to arch half a year ago, it was actually pleasantly surprising to see how fast pacman and the aur were compared to brew. · 1 year ago
