🍾 Honeylade - Fruit honey (honey & marmelade)
Disclosure time: here in Czech, we call jam a marmelade. Any fruit jam, not just citrus fruit. This main ingredient is simply a jar of honey with fruit jam mixed into it. And can be easily substituted with ~400g of pure honey and three table spoons of blackcurrant jam.
Ingredients per 5l:
- 2l of 50% apple juice
- ~2.5l of water
- 1 jar (400g) of black currant honeylade
- leveled teaspoon of baking yeast
Method:
- Dissolve the honeylade in a pot on a hob with some of the juice.
- Have a 5l bottle of water at hand with 2.5l still in it. And all the juice with the honeylade in.
- Shake gently, pitch yeast in and set off to bubble in warm & dark place.
Conclusion:
There's no yeasty aftertaste and it's not very strong. Tastes pleasant and fruity. No chemical or other taste. Just fruity alcohol wine. Yum!
