A booklist for my brand new reading group
The covid is destroying our social relationships. People is worried and nervous. There is incertance on the future.
I tought to create a reading group with my friends. An open minded reading group with the target to exit from our personal cultural bubble.
We are eleven at the moment and I asked everybody to post their proposal of four titles (two narrative, one essay and one poetry). Then we voted eight from the entire list. In the end of the poll this is the list of selected books:
- La banalità del male: Eichmann a Gerusalemme, Hannah Arendt
- La peste, Camus
- Finzioni, Borges
- Sonetti dell'amore oscuro, F.G. Marquez / Poesie, Bukowsy
For the poetry book we are still in a ballot. Probably we'll read both.
One month to read one book and in the end of the month we'll talk about the reading in a conference call.
Better than nothing I think.
