I even put sleep noises on it to listen to while sleeping. Worked like a charm. πŸ˜πŸ™ So grateful. It lasts long and has a lot of storage space. I only now need a wire so I can plug my flash drive and San Disk at the same time into my laptop. Then I can store all the stuff on the flash drive and free up my harddrive. Right now they both connect to the same usb slot. πŸ˜… * I found a deal to download a lot of jazz/lowfi/chillhop for under 30USD! 🀩 I sampled some of it and its good background music to work to. => https://www.thejazzhopcafe.com/ The Jazzhop Cafe * I went to the mall today to walk around somewhere that has chairs and AC. Its humid out. About half of the store spaces were empty. Even some of the kiosk spaces were empty. There weren't many people inside, but the acoustics made it sound like there were more people. Very echoy. Kind of creepy. Its been a long time since I went to the mall. I know stores were closing, but this was bad. It honestly depressed me a bit. Such a waste of space. ###πŸŽ§πŸ“Ί I have been thinking about purchasing music ethically via bandcamp, now that I have an mp3 player. Ususally I listen to anime music, anime/videogame osts that usually don't come to the US and I have no clue how to purchase them on Japanese Amazon, if I even can. But I struggle with finding music I enjoy. A big part is that I don't really understand genres. Or I find a lot of music aimed at the Western market very reptetive and simple? I found Nowruz by by Aga Khan Master Musicians on Bandcamp. >In Nowruz, their accomplished debut album, the Aga Khan Master Musicians (AKMM) draw on music from Central Asia, China, the Middle East, and North Africa to create a strikingly original body of work where living musical traditions meet and meld. Acclaimed virtuosos on their respective instruments, the six members of AKMM deftly blend pipa, qanun, dutar, viola d’amore, saxophone, and a panoply of percussion into a soulful new musical language that comes alive in these eloquent performances. So there is a lot going on in the sample music they provide, yet its also not overwhelming. A good backgroundish song for doing things to or to just vibe too. Really glad I stumbled upon this. => https://agakhanmastermusicians.bandcamp.com/album/nowruz Nowruz by by Aga Khan Master Musicians ###πŸ“š I finished The Dragon of Ynys and The Half-Built Garden. I wish I liked Ynys more. Its not a bad book, but its for a mucn younger audience than I realized. The Half-Built Garden is a top read of the year. I reviewed my reading this year and its mostly graphic novels and manga. I've read about 20 novels, and a good chunk were audiobooks. Some years I read much more, but I've been slacking lately. Part of me wants to read more but I don't want reading to become a chore. I started The Master of Djinn by P Djeli Clark. Its fun and funny so far. I'm still early in, but it looks to be a buddy cop supernatural/paranormal murder mystery in an alternate history Cairo. A lot of words I usually don't enjoy, but I have enjoyed Clark's shorter works and this is similar. => gemini://gemi.dev/cgi-bin/waffle.cgi/article?https%3A%2F%2Fscitechdaily.com%2F500-million-year-old-fossil-reveals-astonishing-secrets-of-a-strange-of-marine-invertebrates%2F 500-Million-Year-Old Fossil Reveals Astonishing Secrets of a Strange Group of Marine Invertebrates => gemini://gemi.dev/cgi-bin/waffle.cgi/article?https%3A%2F%2Fscitechdaily.com%2Flong-covid-brain-fog-treatment-breakthrough-key-biological-pathway-discovered%2F Long COVID Brain Fog Treatment Breakthrough: Key Biological Pathway Discovered ### 🐟 Sardine Mix * 2 tins of sardines * a few spoonfuls of vegan mayo * a few handfuls of shredded carrot Mixed. I put this on an everything bagel and it was a good sandwich. I have some cracker flatbreads that I will have with the rest of the mix. So this makes several meals. I'm sure it will be good. I also did a variant with 1 large can of peas and 4 tins of sardines. I've had two bagel sandwiches and its still going strong. ###✍ => https://lifeentirely.wordpress.com/2019/02/08/30-day-writing-challenge/ 30 Day Writing Challenge 14) Post your favorite movies that you never get tired of watching. I don't rewatch movies so this doesn't really apply to me. To be honest, I don't regularly watch full feature length movies. I try to watch short film sometimes but always fall off. However there was a period of time I watched A LOT of movies. As a kid, just channel surfing and watching older films on the TV. And also when I lived with my parents, my dad was a film junkie and basically took me to see a lot of films, most that weren't very good. Once I lived on my own and had to prioritze purchases, I stopped going. I also never really watched much on streaming services. I preferred anime, which were TV series. I often feel movies are too short to tell the stories I really enjoy. I also don't like a lot of American affectations such as getting people who are hot but can't act, making everything look too good as opposed to realistic. Often the dialogue is a little too on the nose. I feel like indie/short films fix some of these problems, but I'm not hooked on those either. I do check some out on occasion though. #🌞🌦🌧🌈🌞🌦🌧🌈🌞🌦🌧🌈🌞🌦 ###8/28/23 - Monday * ☁ for now * I've been thinking about why I was so angry/cranky last night. Part of it may be just the tension before doing things. I don't like it. ###✍ => https://lifeentirely.wordpress.com/2019/02/08/30-day-writing-challenge/ 30 Day Writing Challenge 15) Bullet-point your whole day. * Got up from my phone alarm at 6:30 am * Started project clean the freezer out. Took out frozen lemons to add to drinks. Took out a singular veggie burger and cooked it. It can be eaten today. Took out sausage and tots to cook for a strange breakfast. Tossed out an item no one wants to eat and makes me sick. Its already looking a little better. πŸ™‚ * Been listening to podcasts via my mp3 player, right now Scientific American as I type this and wait for things to finish cooking. * My tater tot/turkey sausage madness came out pretty good. πŸ˜‹ * The fridge is a bit emptier now, I am feeling at peace. * Worked * Had some lemon water, refreshing. * Packed bulk hummus into smaller containers and froze them. No more waste! * After work, read some The Master of Djinn. * Slept #πŸ›πŸ€πŸ™πŸ±πŸ›πŸ€πŸ™πŸ±πŸ›πŸ€πŸ™πŸ± ###8/29/23 * Woke up late, luckily I had some leftover breakfast from yesterday and was able to wake up quickly. Still feel not so great but ###✍ => https://lifeentirely.wordpress.com/2019/02/08/30-day-writing-challenge/ 30 Day Writing Challenge 16) Something that you miss. Being able to walk around for hours and not feeling like shit. I'm working on it though. I keep looking into moving to a nearby city that is very walkable for the USA. Less pressure for headaches. #πŸ’€πŸ¦‡πŸ‘»πŸ§™β€β™€οΈπŸ’€πŸ¦‡πŸ‘»πŸ§™β€β™€οΈπŸ’€πŸ¦‡πŸ‘»πŸ§™β€β™€οΈ ###8/30/23-9/2/2023 SICK #πŸˆπŸ‚πŸ΅πŸ§£πŸˆπŸ‚πŸ΅πŸ§£πŸˆπŸ‚πŸ΅πŸ§£
