5 I believe that podcasts (like an audio blog) are a great |

6 way to transmit information, knowledge and emotions to |
|
|

7 an audience. While text files are right to describe and |
|
|
|
8 explain, it's really hard to communicate how passionate |
|
|
|
9 one can be about a topic. |

|

11 Because podcasts seems to be an industry, many companies |
|
|
|
12 offer services like podcast hosting and integration |
|
|
|
13 with well known apps. If one wants to self host their |
|
|
|
14 podcast distribution, only unreliable programs such as |
|
|
|
15 nextcloud or wordpress can be found. |
|
|
|

17 It was time to provide a simple alternative for |
|
|
|
18 enthusiasts wanting to give their voice but not to give |
|
|
|
19 up their freedom! |

21 potcasse generates a RSS feed, an index.html file and |
|
|
|
22 a simple hierarchy that can be copied on a remote |
|
|
|
23 server. It uses a few variables in a file to be |
|
|
|
24 configured and most of the work is done automatically |
|
|
|
25 while still giving power to the user in case of |
|
|
|
26 more complex needs. |
