|I love the date as this is after the sentencing of Trump on September
|17th or 18th. The Feds is expected to cut rates in mid September. The
|news cycle can sit and stew in those actions for a week then they can do
|the build up to this debate and the fall out from it the next week. Then
|we will be 1/3 of the way through October. The only thing I am worried
|about is the manufactured October surprise (ie Clinton’s emails or
|Hunter’s laptop). The schedule seems to be set up for Harris to continue
|building steam.

|That may be a viable strategy in theory. But I'm not sure Donald
|Trump has the capacity to make that work. He's struggling enough
|just to recognize that it isn't Biden that he's running against
|anymore. And with most of his attacks he's literally just
|swapped Biden's name for Harris. It also doesn't help that
|Project 2025 is basically the conservative version of a 5-year
|plan, and picking Vance really tied the campaign to that
|document.

|politics in my opinion. The guy is basically writing about the
|current democratic position (higher taxes on the rich,
|stronger labor unions, stronger civil rights protections,
|stronger safety net) at least as far as I can tell by skimming
|what I have. He does talk about "national projects" to include
|highways and conservation of lands, but that's honestly about
|it. Everything else is very pro trump (he was anti
|globalization - kinda in this era). Basically, it's their pro
|worker/anti globalist message but decades before. I'm sure the
|trump campaign is feverishly working on how to message it.

|Gov. Tim Walz on Wednesday agreed to participate in a vice presidential
|debate hosted by CBS News on Oct. 1 in New York City. Former President
|Donald Trump's campaign has not yet agreed to the date, leaving GOP Sen.
|JD Vance's participation in question.  Earlier in the day, CBS News
|proposed four dates for a debate between the two vice presidential
|nominees: Sept. 17, Sept. 24, Oct. 1, and Oct. 8. The Harris-Walz
|campaign soon agreed to the Oct. 1 date. "See you on October 1, JD,"

|campaign official said Walz "looks forward to debating JD Vance — if he
|shows up." Vance did not respond to questions from reporters about
