@dosnostalgic I did not fully realise how horrible this code dump was until I forked and cloned it, and started digging through commits. Their signing key and script, the latter including the password for the private key, were removed with a commit reading "Remove expired certs". I bet sweat was dripping on the keyboard of whoever wrote that.. |

@dch This is a sad day for all good Austrians. Of which there are many. But as sad as the result is, is it really all that surprising, given the lack of public conscience "cleanup" after WW2, the FPÖ's history, and the polarization and trollified (and largely manufactured) right-oriented political climate of the last decade(s)? |

@dch It's quite simple. If the actual economic (and criminal) burden of immigration would be *anywhere near* what people seem to think, most western countries would have been bankrupt war zones many decades ago.The fact that we aren't, and the fact that population, wealth and tax income in western countries continue to grow (big picture - not denying that a fair number of people struggle from time to time), should speak for itself. Sadly, it's a bit like with vaccines: they work so well people start thinking we don't need them. |

Anyone out there got a picture of that #Microsoft #Windows 98 pill tube that they were handing out at the launch of #win98 ?It was filled with M&Ms or something of the sort, and the tube had the #Windows98 logo and "Instant Relief" written on it.I swear, this was absolutely real, and it was given to us by Microsoft Norway representatives. @jamiesaker You had to ask. :D Let me add my tiny little contribution to your reach. I'm mostly into #DOS and OS/2 stuff myself, and I love maknig old hardware do stuff that nobody even thought of when they were new. Like running a web+ftp+irc server on a 286 (see http://floppy.museum). Or just re-living the old days, whether it's creative dying in #Sierra games or the hilarious exploits of #LucasArts adventures. I also run a #Novell #NetWare server on a 486, obviously under OS/2 because paravirtualisation was a thing on PC in 1994. #retrocomputing #os2 |
