Analog challenge
================
Now I have to use a smartphone more often (as a remote control for some
home equipment) so I have decided for a small challenge.
The plan is to be as non-digital as possible.
Thus I will try during June to:
- use analog (film) camera only
- use mechanical watch only
- use paper maps for navigation as much as possible
- use paper for notes, computations and planning
- use bike for most of my transport needs
- don't buy anything on-line (except train tickets)
- don't use the smartphone except as a remote control for the heat pump
I am curious how much I it will be possible today. The watch would be
easy (it it will not break!). I already take most of pictures with my
film cameras. The other thing will be probably harder. While I carry
the paper map on all rides and hikes I probably haven't used it for
years for actual navigation (just for planning).
Will report in August!
