I'm only going to allow myself this title once, but as long as I'm a |
|
|
|
working man, I'll always celebrate Friday. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
I work from home and so does my partner. It's not the COVID, we're just |
|
|
|
homebodies, we like doing the things we do in our own space under our own |
|
|
|
control. For the longest time I was the only one at home, while she was |
|
|
|
out in the office or in class. I was used to having the place to myself, |
|
|
|
which mostly meant that I wasn't worried about making noise, so I'd just |
|
|
|
blast stuff on my speakers and I was never interrupted. Now, well, I feel |
|
|
|
like I have an office co-worker, but at least I got to pick her. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Imagine if I had to toil away here in my secluded forest cottage with |
|
|
|
f'ing Satheesh from work, that'd be a nightmare. I'd take a bathroom |
|
|
|
break, then he'd hamstring me as I was walking out and lock me in a closet |
|
|
|
with a bucket to piss in while imitating me on Slack doing sub-par work |
|
|
|
and singing his praises. Then he'd torture me until I gave him my bank |
|
|
|
account details and would transfer my direct deposits to his account. No, |
|
|
|
I'm greatful for my WFH girlfriend. |
|
|
